Jonas Valanciunas netted 18 points with nine rebounds and Amir Johnson recorded an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double for Toronto, which has won four of its last five games.
Marvin Williams scored 23 points and Alec Burks chipped in with 20 off the bench for Utah, which lost for a third consecutive time.
The Jazz starting backcourt of Trey Burke and Gordon Heyward scored a combined 16 points on 7-of-25 shooting.
"It'll turn if both of those guys keep working," said Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin in regards to the struggles of Burke and Heyward. "They can help us in other ways than just scoring."
Valanciunas scored six and Johnson added four as the Raptors opened the game with a 10-4 lead. Toronto led by as many as nine in the frame, but Utah ended the quarter on a 10-2 run to take a 27-24 lead after 12 minutes.
John Salmons, who finished with 13 points off the bench in the win, scored five points during a 14-4 run to open the second and he capped the spurt with a layup to put the Raptors up 38-31.
Valanciunas converted an alley-oop from Kyle Lowry to close the scoring in the first half and stake Toronto to a 55-44 halftime lead.
Lowry left late in the third quarter with right knee pain and Toronto's point guard finished with two points on 1-of-8 shooting and he missed all five attempts from beyond the arc. Toronto led 71-62 after three quarters.
Burks scored the final five points during an 8-0 run early in the fourth to trim the hosts deficit to 73-70. That's as close as they would get from there as Patrick Patterson answered with a pair of free throws and Valanciunas made a layup to push the margin to seven points with 8:42 to play.
DeRozan's 3 with just over three minutes left made it an 86-76 game to seal it for Toronto.
"I just tried to be aggressive, do a little bit of everything," DeRozan said.
