Late Iguodala bucket lifts Warriors over Thunder

Nov 15, 2013 - 8:19 AM Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Russell Westbrook's 3-pointer with 2.3 seconds left gave the Oklahoma City Thunder their first lead in over 23 minutes.

That advantage was short-lived.

Andre Iguodala's fadeaway right baseline jumper at the buzzer lifted the Golden State Warriors to a 116-115 win over the Thunder.

Reggie Jackson's driving layup with 36.2 seconds remaining pulled OKC within 114-112 and the Thunder regained possession when Stephen Curry misfired on a deep step-back jumper at the other end.

Kevin Durant snatched the rebound and dribbled to the top of the 3-point line. He was forced to give the ball away to Westbrook along the right wing several feet beyond the arc. With Klay Thompson playing back on him, Westbrook pulled up and rose above him for the Thunder's first lead since the 11:35 mark of the third.

Following a timeout, Iguodala received the inbounds pass along the right baseline and knocked down the tough fadeaway over the outstretched arms of Thabo Sefolosha.

"The defender was on the top side, denying me the ball, to catch it on the perimeter. It was great that Klay made the pass. We both read the same thing, and I got a good corner shot with a good look," Iguodala said.

Thompson nailed six triples and netted 27 points, while Curry added 22 points and nine assists for the Warriors, who have won five of their last seven games. Iguodala finished with 14 points and nine assists in the triumph.

Westbrook had 31 points, nine rebounds and five assists for Oklahoma City, which has dropped back-to-back tilts on the heels of a four-game winning streak.

"It was fun until the last shot," Durant said.

Serge Ibaka tallied 27 points and 13 boards, while Durant registered 20 points, eight helpers and seven boards in defeat.

Golden State led 104-90 with 8:10 left in the fourth after Jermaine O'Neal knocked down a pair of free throws, but OKC countered as Sefolosha drained a right corner triple to cap a 16-5 run to whittle the deficit to 109-106 with 3:19 left.

Thompson's three-point play with 2:14 to play increased the margin to six before Ibaka and Durant both sunk a pair of foul shots on back-to-back Thunder touches to make it 112-110 with 1:07 on the clock.

Thompson then hit a tough step-back jumper to increase the cushion back to four.

Earlier, the Thunder took a 33-32 edge into the second before the hosts knotted the contest at 62-62.

Golden State, which was 9-of-11 from deep in the first half, made 12 of its first 14 attempts from beyond the arc. Thompson nailed six of his first seven shots from distance.

The Warriors took a 95-86 gap into the fourth.
