Nash, Suns defeat Bobcats
Oct 22, 2007 - 3:00 AM By Ron Griffin PA SportsTicker Contributing WriterLOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Steve Nash collected 20 points, six rebounds and eight assists to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 98-88 win over the Charlotte Bobcats in preseason action on Sunday night.
Rookie Alando Tucker scored 14 points in 14 minutes and Shawn Marion added 13 for Phoenix, which took advantage of a shorthanded Charlotte squad.
The Bobcats played the game without forward Adam Morrison, who could miss the entire season after an MRI revealed a "partial to complete" tear of the ACL in his left knee.
It could be the second season-ending injury for Charlotte, which already will be without forward Sean May, who will undergo microfracture surgery on his right knee.
The Suns led by seven points after the third quarter but were never threatened during the fourth.
Raymond Felton's jumper with 6:45 left cut the Bobcats' deficit to five, but the Suns answered with six straight points to take an 11-point bulge.
Jason Richardson score 23 points and Emeka Okafor added 17 and 12 rebounds for Charlotte.
