Mavericks eye 2-0 mark on season vs. Kings

The Mavericks posted a 109-90 victory in Dallas over the Kings on December 1. Josh Howard led the Mavs with 24 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 18 and 10 rebounds.
Howard scored 23 points and Nowitzki had 20 as Dallas posted its third consecutive win with a 90-79 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday. Devin Harris and Jason Terry had 13 and 12 points, respectively for the Mavericks, who held a 50-39 advantage on the boards.
This is the Mavs' second stop on their three-game road trip.
Sacramento started its three-game homestand with a 105-98 setback to red-hot Phoenix on Saturday. Kevin Martin scored 23 points before leaving with a right ankle injury and John Salmons added 20.
Ron Artest had 16 points and Kenny Thomas grabbed 13 rebounds for the Kings, who shot just 40 percent (35-of-88).
