Celtics face Warriors in search of sixth straight win

BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics look to stay atop the Atlantic Division when they face the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.

The Celtics earned their fifth straight win with a 106-100 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday.

Paul Pierce scored 35 points and had 11 rebounds and Al Jefferson added 22 and 10 to lead Boston, which shot 45 percent (37-for-82) from the field.

Entering Wednesday's game the Celtics hold a half-game lead over the Toronto Raptors and New Jersey Nets in the Atlantic division.

Baron Davis nearly had a triple-double scoring 25 points and recording nine rebounds and eight assists for the Warriors in Monday's 105-97 loss to the Nets.

Golden State has dropped its first three games of a six game road trip. The Warriors are 1-9 away from Oracle Arena this season.
