Struggling Magic aim to break skid against Cavaliers

Dec 23, 2006 - 3:24 PM Orlando (17-11) at Cleveland (14-11) 7:30 pm EST

CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- The Orlando Magic must be a welcome sight right now to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers look to end their three-game skid and continue their home dominance of the Magic when the teams square off in Cleveland on Saturday.

Even though they have not been playing well as of late, the Cavaliers own Orlando on their home floor. Cleveland has won five straight against the Magic at home, outscoring them by an average of 12 points per game.

After losing in Orlando last Saturday, the Cavs fell just short in a 113-111 loss at New Jersey on Wednesday. The looked lost a day later, dropping an 87-71 decision to the rival Detroit Pistons.

LeBron James had 26 points and 10 rebounds for Cleveland, which fell 2 1/2 games behind the Pistons in the Central Division.

The Cavs have not dropped four in a row since a five-game skid from February 22-March 1.

Trevor Ariza scored 23 points for the Magic in a 117-108 loss to Golden State on Friday.

After starting the season 13-4, Orlando suffered its seventh defeat in 11 games.
