Jazz look to end road trip on a high note vs. Grizzlies

Dec 23, 2006 - 3:56 PM Utah (19-8) at Memphis (6-21) 8:00 pm EST

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz aim to end their season-high five-game road trip on a high note against one of the worst teams in the NBA.

Splitting the first four games on the trip, the Jazz will face the lowly Memphis Grizzlies in the jaunt's finale.

After an overtime loss to New York, Utah has struggled in its last two contests. The Jazz played poorly against Atlanta on Wednesday, falling behind by 21 points before erasing the deficit and picking up a 112-106 victory.

Two days later, Utah fell behind big again, this time against Charlotte, but could not bounce back.

Carlos Boozer had 22 points in the game and Utah scored on nine straight possessions during a third-quarter surge to pull within 10, but would get no closer in the 101-89 loss.

Mike Miller collected 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists for Memphis, which fell to 2-14 on the road in a 100-97 overtime loss to the New Orleans Hornets on Friday.

The Grizzlies have won the last three meetings with Utah at home and seven of the last nine.
