James, Cavaliers seek to improve road record vs. woeful Hawks
Dec 27, 2006 - 3:54 PM Cleveland (15-11) at Atlanta (9-17) 7:00 pm ESTATLANTA (Ticker) -- LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers hope to cure their road woes in a place where they have had great success.
The Cavaliers aim to end their four-game road skid Wednesday when they visit the slumping Atlanta Hawks.
One of the preseason favorites to contend for the Eastern Conference title, Cleveland has stumbled to a 3-8 record on the road this season.
The last time the Cavs won a road game was here on December 1, when James collected 31 points and eight assists in a 106-95 triumph. It was Cleveland's fifth consecutive win in Atlanta, which has not beaten the Cavs at home since November 22, 2003.
Cleveland looks to continue its dominance of an Atlanta squad which has stumbled to eight losses in its last nine games since getting off to an 8-9 start this season.
The Hawks dropped their fourth consecutive game Saturday, a 108-81 loss to the Detroit Pistons.
