Bryant, Lakers look to bounce back against slumping Magic
Dec 27, 2006 - 4:15 PM La Lakers (18-10) at Orlando (17-12) 7:00 pm ESTORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers stumbled against the Miami Heat on Christmas Day. They hope to regain their footing about 150 miles north of South Beach.
The Lakers aim to rebound from a disappointing loss when they visit the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
Playing on Christmas against Miami for the third straight year, Los Angeles dropped a 101-85 decision on Monday. Bryant was awful in the contest, scoring 16 points on 4-of-17 shooting.
Two days later, the Lakers look to get back on track against a Magic squad which has dropped eight of its last 12 games after a 13-4 start this season.
Dwight Howard collected 17 points and 13 rebounds but could not prevent Orlando from dropping an 86-83 decision to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday.
Los Angeles has won three straight contests and 13 of its last 15 against Orlando.
