Clippers look to snap skid vs. Kings

Dec 29, 2006 - 3:20 PM Sacramento (12-14) at LA Clippers (12-16) 10:30 pm EST

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Clippers got a much-needed win on Wednesday. Two days later, they will look to keep it going against one of their toughest foes.

Coming off one of their most impressive wins of the season, the Clippers will host the Sacramento Kings in the second game of three-game homestand on Friday.

After making the playoffs for the first time since 1997 last campaign, Los Angeles has disappointed this season. However, after a six-game losing streak, the Clippers have won two of their last three contests and hope Wednesday's thorough victory will spark a promising run.

On Wednesday, Elton Brand had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Tim Thomas tied a season high with 25 points as the Clippers routed Boston, 100-77, for just their second win in their last nine contests.

Los Angeles will look to exact some revenge against the Kings, who have beaten them 14 straight times since January 18, 2003. Sacramento won the lone matchup this season, 93-80, on November 28.

Mike Bibby scored 21 points and Kevin Martin added 18 as the Kings used a balanced attack to post a 101-76 victory over Philadelphia on Wednesday.
