Randolph, improving Trail BLazers host lowly 76ers
Dec 29, 2006 - 4:08 PM Philadelphia (7-21) at Portland (13-16) 10:00 pm ESTPORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Just a season ago, the Portland Trail Blazers essentially were in the same situation the Philadelphia 76ers find themselves in now.
The Trail Blazers aim for their seventh win in nine games Friday when they host the lowly 76ers.
At 13-16, Portland's record compares favorably to last year's squad, which was 10-19 through 29 games.
Zach Randolph scored 26 points and hauled in 11 rebounds for the Blazers, who beat the New Orleans Hornets 100-85 on Wednesday.
The 76ers are a mess, losing two straight and 18 of their last 21 while failing to score 100-plus points in any of their last 13 games.
Andre Iguodala scored 15 points and Andre Miller added 14 and five assists in his third game with the Sixers, who lost a 101-76 decision to Sacramento on Wednesday.
