Nets look for second straight win, host Timberwolves
Dec 30, 2006 - 4:13 PM Minnesota (13-14) at New Jersey (12-18) 7:30 pm ESTEAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Nets try to put together consecutive wins Saturday when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
On Friday, the disappointing Nets stopped a four-game losing streak with a 91-81 victory at Miami.
Against the Heat, Vince Carter scored 23 points, Richard Jefferson 22 and Jason Kidd contributed 17, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
New Jersey has won five of the last six meetings from Minnesota at Continental Airlines Arena.
Ricky Davis scored 24 points and Mark Blount collected 18 and nine rebounds as Minnesota won for the third time in four games, posting a 101-82 victory over Seattle on Friday. All-Star Kevin Garnett was held to a season-low 10 points but still hauled down 13 rebounds to record his 23rd double-double of the season.
