SuperSonics look to snap two-game skid

Dec 31, 2006 - 5:11 PM Boston (10-18) at Seattle (12-19) 10:00 pm EST

SEATTLE (Ticker) -- The Seattle SuperSonics aim to snap their two-game losing streak when they host the Boston Celtics on Sunday.

Seattle looked poor in a 101-82 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, falling behind, 56-39, at the half and never recovering.

Ray Allen led Seattle, which shot only 35 percent (31-of-88) from the floor, with 14 points while Johan Petro added 12. The SuperSonics also shot poorly from 3-point range, connecting on just 3-of-17 attempts.

The Celtics will also be in search of a better effort after dropping their third straight decision of a five-game West Coast trip, absorbing a 110-100 setback against the Golden State Warriors on Friday.

Tony Allen led Boston with 20 points while Al Jefferson and Delonte West each added 18.

Overall, the Celtics are 0-5 since longtime leader Paul Pierce re-aggravated a left foot injury against Golden State on December 20.
