Magic look to rediscover winning touch vs. Bobcats

Jan 5, 2007 - 2:41 PM Charlotte (9-22) at Orlando (19-14) 7:00 pm EST

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- If the Orlando Magic had their way, they would turn the clock back to November.

The Magic attempt to win their third straight game for the first time since December 1 and keep pace with the Washington Wizards in the Southeast Division on Friday when they meet the Charlotte Bobcats.

Orlando opened the campaign by winning 13 of its first 17 games, including nine out of 10 from November 11-December 1. However the Magic dropped 10 of 16 games in December without winning more than two in a row.

Jameer Nelson scored 29 points, Dwight Howard added 14 with 14 rebounds and Trevor Ariza had 14 points for the Magic in Tuesday's 91-86 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Charlotte failed in its bid for its first three-game winning streak of the season in Monday's 102-96 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Matt Carroll scored 23 points, including five 3-pointers, Raymond Felton added 22 and rookie Adam Morrison 18 after setting a season high with 30 in his previous outing against Indiana.

Sean May scored 23 points for the Bobcats in a 99-89 win over Orlando in their most recent matchup on December 14.
