76ers end long road trip in Minnesota
Jan 5, 2007 - 3:06 PM Philadelphia (9-23) at Minnesota (15-15) 8:00 pm ESTMINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia 76ers end a seven-game road trip when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.
The Sixers slipped to 2-4 on the trip after losing at Utah, 98-87, on Wednesday. Andre Miller scored 17 points, Andre Igoudala added 16 and Joe Smith 13 in the loss.
Minnesota looks to complete a two-game sweep of the season series after posting a 95-84 victory at Philadelphia on December 3. Ricky Davis led the Timberwolves with 22 points.
Kevin Garnett scored 27 points to become the 18th player in league history to reach 18,000, and grabbed 17 rebounds for the Timberwolves in Wednesday's 103-101 overtime triumph over the San Antonio Spurs.
Mark Blount made 12-of-14 shots and scored 28 points and rookie Randy Foye added 19 for Minnesota, which made 28-of-29 free throws.
