McGrady, streaking Rockets host first-place Jazz
Jan 5, 2007 - 3:09 PM Utah (23-9)at Houston (20-12) 8:30 pm ESTHOUSTON (Ticker) -- The Houston Rockets look to win their season-high fourth straight game when they host the Midwest Division-leading Utah Jazz on Friday.
Tracy McGrady has scored 30-plus points in his last three games as the Rockets improved to 20-12, including 4-1 without injured All-Star center Yao Ming.
McGrady scored 31 points in a 103-96 victory over Seattle on Wednesday. Juwan Howard added 18 points for the Rockets, who also received 14 rebounds from veteran center Dikembe Mutombo
Carlos Boozer had 27 points and hauled in 14 rebounds in Utah's 97-87 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. Mehmet Okur added 21 points and seven rebounds and Matt Harpring added 20 points off the bench for the Jazz, who have won two straight and four of their last five games.
Utah beat Houston, 107-97 on November 1 as Boozer collected 24 points and 19 rebounds. McGrady had 25 points and Yao added 22 for the Rockets, who have lost two of their last three vs. the Jazz.
