Allen, Sonics face tough road test vs. Warriors

Jan 6, 2007 - 5:16 PM Seattle (13-22) at Golden State (17-17) 10:30 pm EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) - The Seattle SuperSonics try to break a 10-game road losing streak in Oakland when they face the Warriors on Saturday.

The Sonics suffered a 111-93 loss to the New York Knicks on Friday for their third straight loss.

Chris Wilcox scored 13 points and Earl Watson and Damien Wilkins each scored 12 for the Sonics, who shot 43 percent form the field, including just 2-of-14 from 3-point range.

All-Star Ray Allen had a season-low 11 points on 3-of-10 shooting for Seattle, which has also lost 11 of its last 14 contests.

The Warriors are coming off a 144-135 loss at Memphis Wednesday. Matt Barnes scored 36 points on 13-of-28 shooting and added 22 points and 13 assists for Golden State, which has dropped three of four on the road.

However the Warriors have won five straight at home and are 13-5 at Oracle Arena in 2006-07.

With a win over Seattle, Golden State would match its longest home winning streak of the season.
