Arenas, high-scoring Wizards look for revenge against Bulls

Jan 10, 2007 - 4:05 PM Chicago (20-15) at Washington (19-14) 7:00 pm EST

WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards have been dominating everyone in their path - except the Chicago Bulls.

The Wizards aim for their 16th win in 21 games and look to score 100 points for the 18th straight contest when they host the Bulls on Wednesday.

Chicago was the last team to stymie the Wizards' offense in a 112-94 victory on December 2.

It marked the last time Washington was held under 100 points. The NBA's second-leading scorer at 30.5 points per game, Arenas struggled in that contest - scoring just 10 points on 3-of-11 shooting.

The Wizards have gone 13-4 since the loss to the Bulls to pull within one game of Orlando in the Southeast Division.

In their last contest, the Wizards dropped a 116-111 decision to Toronto on Sunday. Arenas scored 33 points but shot just 7-of-19 for Washington.

In their last game on Monday, Chicago suffered an 84-77 loss to Houston. Ben Gordon scored 24 points and Luol Deng added 20 for the Bulls, who dropped to 15-4 at home. Chicago played without forward P.J. Brown, who was attending to personal matters.
