Wade, Heat go for third straight win

Jan 12, 2007 - 3:24 PM Miami (15-19) at Golden State (18-19) 10:30 pm EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) - Now that Dwyane Wade is back, the Miami Heat hope they are in good shape.

Wade hopes to lead the Heat to a third straight win when they visit the Golden State Warriors on Friday.

In his second game back after missing four games with an injury, Wade scored 29 points and added 13 rebounds in Miami's 107-103 win over the Seattle SuperSonics on Wednesday.

Wade leads the Heat, who were 0-4 without him, in scoring (27.8) and assists (7.9).

The Warriors have struggled lately, losing three of their last four games, and had their six-game home unbeaten steak ended in a 91-76 setback to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.

Monta Ellis led Golden State with 14 points while Baron Davis added 13. The point total was the lowest for Davis, who is averaging 20.7 points, since he only netted eight in a 119-96 loss to the Sacramento Kings on December 30.

Ellis is averaging 17.3 points for the Warriors, who despite the loss to Orlando are 14-6 at home this season.
