Nets, Timberwolves meet for second time this season

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves meet in an interconference game matching teams that have won five of their last six games.

Mikki Moore scored a career-high 20 points on 9-of-9 shooting in the Nets' 100-92 triumph over the Timberwolves on December 30.

Jason Kidd scored 23 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and handed out 11 assists to lead the Nets to an 86-83 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.

Vince Carter had 18 points and 10 rebounds and Richard Jefferson scored 14 for New Jersey, which rallied from an 18-point deficit.

Kevin Garnett scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Timberwolves posted a 116-110 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.

Ricky Davis tied his season high with 27 points and added seven rebounds and seven assists for Minnesota.

Since January 1, Garnett has averaged 26.2 points and 14.3 rebounds in six games. The 2004 MVP recorded his eighth straight double-double and league-high 30th of the season.
