Rockets hope to remain on roll vs. Kings

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The red-hot Houston Rockets are on a roll.

The Rockets aim for their fourth consecutive victory Saturday when they face the lowly Sacramento Kings, who are riding a four-game losing streak.

Houston captured its eighth win in nine games with Friday's 90-86 triumph over the Denver Nuggets. Shane Battier scored a season-high 25 points and superstar Tracy McGrady added 12, 11 assists and eight rebounds.

Veteran Dikembe Mutombo has been a force in the middle, grabbing double-digit rebounds in a season-best nine straight games for the Rockets.

The Kings dropped a 95-87 decision to the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday. Kevin Martin and Mike Bibby combined for only 30 points in the loss.

Sacramento and Houston split its four-game season series a year ago.
