Surging Bulls visit injury-riddled Bucks
Jan 17, 2007 - 5:31 PM Chicago (22-17) at Milwaukee (17-20) 8:00 pm ESTMILWAUKEE (Ticker) - After posting arguably their most impressive win of the season at home, the Chicago Bulls take their act on the road.
The Bulls shoot for their third straight win Wednesday when they visit the injury-ravaged Milwaukee Bucks in a Central Division clash.
Since dropping three straight contests from January 8-11, Chicago has bounced back in resounding fashion, exploding for a 45-point rout of Memphis on Saturday before defeating San Antonio, 99-87, on Monday.
Kirk Hinrich scored 23 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and handed out seven assists for Chicago, which was without injured center Ben Wallace (back spasms) for the second straight contest.
Ben Gordon chipped in 20 points for the Bulls, who limited the mighty Spurs to just 39 percent shooting.
Chicago looks to continue its recent outstanding play against Milwaukee, which has been playing without four starters, including leading scorer Michael Redd (knee).
The Bucks also have had to make do without point guard Mo Williams (shoulder), power forward Charlie Villanueva (shoulder) and small forward Bobby Simmons (ankle), who has been sidelined since training camp and underwent season-ending surgery early last month.
Milwaukee snapped a season-high five-game skid with Monday's 99-91 triumph at Charlotte.
Earl Boykins scored 30 points in his second game since being acquired in a trade from Denver while Andrew Bogut added a career-high 27 points and 11 rebounds for the Bucks, who have gone 15-1 at home against the Bulls since 1998.
