Cavaliers continue road trip vs. Trail Blazers

Jan 17, 2007 - 5:40 PM Cleveland (23-14) at Portland (15-24) 10:00 pm EST

PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers have struggled on their longest road trip of the season.

The Cavaliers look to bounce back from a disappointing loss Wednesday when they visit the slumping Portland Trail Blazers.

Mired in a season-high seven-game road trek, Cleveland has alternated wins and losses over the first four contests of the jaunt, including a 101-96 defeat at Seattle on Tuesday.

James scored 30 points but was not a factor in the final quarter, as the SuperSonics used a zone defense to neutralize the superstar's ability to get to the basket.

The Cavs, who also suffered a blowout loss at Phoenix on Thursday, figure to rebound nicely Wednesday against a Portland squad which has dropped 10 of its last 13 contests since reeling off a season-high five straight wins from December 10-20.

The Blazers struggled in the second half of Sunday's 109-93 loss to Denver, yielding 41 third-quarter points to the Nuggets.

Rookie Sergio Rodriguez scored a season-high 23 points and dished out 10 assists for Portland, which was without injured point guard Jarrett Jack (concussion) for the second straight contest.
