Jan 19, 2007 - 3:24 PM Charlotte (12-25) at Atlanta (13-23) 7:30 pm EST

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Hawks aim for their fourth straight victory when they host the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday in the opener of a home-and-home series.

The Hawks' season-high for consecutive wins is four, coming in early November. They earned their third straight win on Wednesday when they pounded the Minnesota Timberwolves, 105-88.

Joe Johnson, whose 25.0 points per game average is the 12th-highest in the league, led the Hawks with 29 points. The output was a nice rebound for Johnson, who only managed 18 points in a 100-96 loss to the Boston Celtics on Monday.

Defense has been a key recently for Atlanta, which has only allowed an average of 92.3 points against in its streak.

The Bobcats have lost two straight after three consecutive wins. Charlotte only shot 29 percent (29-of-75) from the field and only connected on 31 percent (5-of-16) from 3-point range in a 92-85 loss to the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday.

Raymond Felton led the Bobcats with 18 points while Emeka Okafor finished with 14 points and grabbed 21 rebounds.

On the season, the Bobcats, 5-12 on the road this season, are only shooting 43.4 from the field, tied for the second-lowest percentage in the NBA.
