Arenas, Wizards look to stay hot, host slumping Celtics

WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- The Washington Wizards aim to win their 10th straight home game when they welcome the struggling Boston Celtics on Saturday.

Washington snapped a three-game road losing streak with a 114-93 win at Orlando on Friday. Antawn Jamison scored 31 points and grabbed a season-high 16 rebounds for the Wizards, who increased their lead in the Southeast Division to 1 1/2 games over the Magic.

Gilbert Arenas had 30 points, seven rebounds and six assists and Caron Butler added 21 points, seven boards and five steals for Washington (23-16), which also has matched Cleveland for the best record in the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics lost to Sacramento, 96-91, on Friday. Delonte West scored a season-high 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting and Al Jefferson had 23 and 11 rebounds for Boston, which matched its season-high with six straight losses.

Ryan Gomes had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Celtics, who have lost four of their last five against Washington.

The Wizards, who have won three straight overall, have not won 10 straight home games since a 20-game win streak from January 19 to April 7, 1989.
