Pacers' new faces hope to snap four-game skid

Jan 22, 2007 - 3:40 PM Chicago (23-18) at Indiana (20-20) 7:00 pm EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Mired in a season-high four-game losing streak, the Indiana Pacers hope their new additions will pay off.

The Pacers hope to bounce back from a tough loss and snap their skid Monday when they host the Chicago Bulls.

Indiana made headlines Wednesday, acquiring forwards Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Troy Murphy in a huge eight-player trade with the Golden State Warriors.

The duo made their debuts with the Pacers in Saturday's 108-106 loss to the New York Knicks.

Dunleavy started at guard and scored 14 points on 6-of-17 shooting while Murphy came off the bench to collect 10 points and 11 rebounds for Indiana, which nearly erased an eight-point deficit in the final 80 seconds.

The newcomers hope to take strides toward adapting to their new lineup Monday when the Pacers host the Bulls, who had their three-game winning streak snapped in Saturday's 95-85 loss to the Utah Jazz.

Ben Gordon scored 23 points and Kirk Hinrich added 22 for the Bulls, who shot 38 percent (29-of-72) - including 1-of-12 from the arc.

Chicago has won both meetings against the Pacers this season, including a 106-91 home triumph on December 11.
