Healthy West, rejuvenated Hornets visit 76ers

Jan 23, 2007 - 4:27 PM New Orleans (16-23) at Philadelphia (11-30) 7:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- David West and the New Orleans Hornets finally are starting to get healthy.

Undermanned for the majority of the season, the Hornets aim for their fifth win in their last six games Tuesday when they visit the lowly Philadelphia 76ers.

With help from the talented West, the Hornets dominated the interior en route to a 113-103 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday.

In his second game back since returning from an elbow injury, West collected 26 points and 12 rebounds while Tyson Chandler added 17 points and 12 boards.

Rasual Butler chipped in 20 points for the Hornets, who are still without star guard Chris Paul (ankle) and sharpshooter Peja Stojakovic (back) but benefitted from the returns of West and guard Bobby Jackson.

The 76ers are heading in the opposite direction, losing eight of their last 10 games.

Philadelphia dropped a 99-85 decision to San Antonio on Sunday. Andre Iguodala scored 20 points and Steven Hunter added 10 and 15 rebounds for the Sixers, who have won their last three home meetings with the Hornets.
