Okur can lead Jazz to fifth straight win vs. Grizzlies

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) - Memhet Okur has been carrying the Utah Jazz.

Okur looks to continue his strong play Wednesday night when the Jazz face the Memphis Grizzlies.

In his last five games, Okur is averaging 27.2 points. The 6-11 forward is shooting 53 percent (47-of-88) from the field and 13-of-34 from 3-point range during his run.

With Okur leading the way, the Jazz have won four straight games.

After winning the final three contests of its four-game road trip, Utah returned home for Monday's 106-91 triumph over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Okur scored 28 points and Deron Williams added 21 with a career high-tying 15 assists.

The Grizzlies have lost seven of their last nine contests and have the league's worst record. They are just 2-19 on the road thi season,

Memphis is coming off Monday's 115-98 loss to the Denver Nuggets. Pau Gasol scored 23 points and grabbed 17 rebounds and Chucky Atkins had 15 points for the Grizzlies.

After losing six of the last seven matchups against Memphis, Utah posted a 100-97 victory December 23. Carlos Boozer led the Jazz with 24 points.
