Struggling Kings, Grizzlies face off

Jan 29, 2007 - 4:32 PM Sacramento (17-25) at Memphis (11-34) 8:00 pm EST

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Both the Memphis Grizzlies and the Sacramento Kings would like to turn things around soon.

The Grizzlies hope to improve on the NBA's worst record Monday when they host the slumping Kings.

Memphis suffered its fourth loss in five games in Saturday's 135-132 double-overtime defeat at the hands of the Portland Trail Blazers.

Pau Gasol returned to the lineup after missing one game due to a hamstring injury, finishing with 24 points, 14 rebounds and a season-high six blocks.

The Kings are also coming off a heartbreaking setback, a 106-104 decision to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. Defensive standout Ron Artest led the charge with 25 points and three steals in the loss.

In their first meeting on November 15, Mike Bibby - who was drafted second overall by the Grizzlies in 1998 - had 32 points and 10 assists as Sacramento held on for a 115-111 triumph here.

However, Memphis has won four of the last five home meetings. The Grizzlies have lost five of their last seven home games overall.
