Magic seek reversal of fortune against struggling Bucks
Jan 31, 2007 - 6:18 PM Milwaukee (18-27) at Orlando (23-22) 7:00 pm ESTORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- A season that began with much promise has developed some complications for the Orlando Magic.
The Magic look to win for just the second time in 10 games and finish January with a 6-8 record Wednesday in their first encounter of the campaign with the Milwaukee Bucks.
After opening with a 13-4 mark, Orlando has lost 18 of its last 28 games and has fallen 4 1/2 games behind the first-place Washington Wizards in the Southeast Division.
Averaging just 89 points in its last seven games, Orlando is hoping to rebound after Monday's 93-83 defeat to the Atlanta Hawks.
Grant Hill scored 21 points, Jameer Nelson had 16 and Dwight Howard 15 for the Magic.
The Bucks continue to feel the void left by injured star Michael Redd, the league's sixth-leading scorer (27.7) who is sidelined with a knee injury. The team has dropped 10 of 12 since he left the lineup.
Milwaukee is coming off Tuesday's 110-80 loss to the Miami Heat. Charlie Villanueva scored 17 points, Mo Williams added 14 and Dan Gadzuric grabbed 11 rebounds for the Bucks.
