O'Neal, Pacers hit the road vs. Grizzlies

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- All-Star Jermaine O'Neal has the Indiana Pacers playing some of their best basketball right now.

The Pacers go in search of their sixth win in seven games Saturday when they travel to take on the lowly Memphis Grizzlies.

O'Neal had 22 points and nine rebounds as Indiana won its fifth straight home game with Friday's 95-84 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.

The 6-11 O'Neal, who was named to his sixth All-Star game, is averaging 23.5 points and 8.7 rebounds over his last five contests.

Memphis failed in its attempt to win back-to-back games for the first time this season Wednesday in a 95-94 setback to the Dallas Mavericks.

Despite a 9-15 record here, the Grizzlies have managed to win five of the last six meetings against the Pacers. Memphis and Indiana split in their two-game series a year ago.
