Bulls look to end road struggles vs. Trail Blazers

Feb 3, 2007 - 6:09 PM Chicago (27-20) at Portland (20-28) 10:00 pm EST

PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- The Chicago Bulls would like to improve on their horrific road record at the Rose Garden.

Ben Gordon and the surging Bulls bring their lowly 7-14 road mark when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.

Chicago is only 1-6 in its last seven trips to Portland, last winning here in 2004-05 when Gordon was just a 21-year-old rookie.

The Bulls picked up their first road triumph against a Western Conference opponent in nearly two months with Friday's 107-101 win at Seattle. They have won four of five games overall.

The contest also saw the return of four-time defensive player of the year Ben Wallace, who missed Wednesday's setback with a bruised right knee. He had two rebounds and one block in 23 minutes.

On Friday, the Trail Blazers dropped a 114-107 decision at Denver despite 25 points from Zach Randolph and 22 and a season-high 11 assists from rookie Brandon Roy.

The Blazers have won four consecutive home games behind the efforts of Roy, who is averaging 21.3 points and 7.5 rebounds during that home stretch.
