McGrady, Rockets shoot for fifth straight win

Feb 3, 2007 - 6:36 PM New Orleans (20-26) at Houston (29-16) 8:30 pm EST

HOUSTON (Ticker) -- All-Star Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets have been on the attack and do not seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

McGrady hopes to guide the Rockets to their second five-game winning streak of the season when the New Orleans Hornets come calling on Saturday.

Since the Rockets lost All-Star center Yao Ming to a fractured leg on December 26, they have registered three winning streaks of at least four wins. Houston won five games in a row from December 27-January 5.

Most recently, the Rockets knocked off the Seattle SuperSonics, 112-102, on Wednesday here. McGrady notched his 10th 30-point performance this season in the win.

The Hornets are riding a wave of success also, winning four of their last five games - including Friday's 90-83 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Hornets guard Chris Paul rebounded well in his second game back after missing 17 contests with a sprained ankle, collecting 24 points and eight assists in Friday's win.

Paul handed out a season-high 16 assists in the Hornets' first meeting with the Rockets this season, a 96-90 home win on November 5.
