Bucks hope to have sharpshooter Redd back vs. Magic

Feb 6, 2007 - 3:54 PM Orlando (25-23) at Milwaukee (18-30) 8:00 pm EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The struggling Milwaukee Bucks cannot wait to welcome back sharpshooter Michael Redd.

Hoping to have Redd back in the lineup on Tuesday, the Bucks will face off against the Orlando Magic.

Averaging 27.7 points per game, Redd has sat out the last 15 games, nursing an injury to the patellar tendon of his left knee suffered on January 5. The sharpshooter's return could not have come any sooner for Milwaukee, which went 2-13 without him in the lineup.

In the absence of their star, the Bucks have dropped into last place in the Central Division - 11 games behind the Detroit Pistons. Those struggles were evident in its last game as Milwaukee was routed by Miami, 117-98, on Saturday. Mo Williams had a career-high 38 points and seven assists in the setback.

The Bucks will try to turn it around against the Magic, who were sluggish in a 94-86 loss to the New York Knicks on Saturday. Darko Milicic scored 19 points for Orlando, which shot just 38 percent (29-of-77) to absorb its fourth loss in its last six games.

The Magic have dropped six straight games to the Bucks on the road, winning only once in their last 15 contests at the Bradley Center back on November 2, 2002. However, Orlando defeated Milwaukee, 98-73, at home last Wednesday.
