Pistons, Raptors go for sixth straight win

Feb 10, 2007 - 5:13 PM Toronto (27-23) at Detroit (30-18) 7:30 pm EST

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- The Detroit Pistons are on top of the Eastern Conference. The Toronto Raptors would like to change that.

Both the Pistons and Raptors will hope to extend their winning streaks to six straight games when they face off in the Motor City on Saturday.

Toronto is 3 1/2 games ahead of the New Jersey Nets for the top spot in the lowly Atlantic Division and trail Detroit by four in the conference.

Detroit's frontcourt trio of Tayshaun Prince, Chris Webber and Rasheed Wallace combined to score 56 points in Thursday's 93-78 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

The addition of Webber has been huge for the Pistons, who are 9-2 with the former Michigan standout in the starting lineup. He is averaging 13 points and 7.3 rebounds since signing with Detroit after his buyout from the Philadelphia 76ers.

Detroit has won four consecutive games and five of its last six at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

All-Star Chris Bosh collected 29 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Raptors over the Lakers, 96-92. Bosh had a career-best 41-point performance in a win over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.

The Pistons took three of four matchups from the Raptors last season, including both meetings here.
