Wallace, Bobcats hope to end three-game slide

Feb 10, 2007 - 5:29 PM Charlotte (18-32) at Houston (31-18) 8:30 pm EST

HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Gerald Wallace and the Charlotte Bobcats are back to their old ways.

The struggling Bobcats will try to snap a three-game losing streak when they visit Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets.

After finishing with an 8-7 record last month, Charlotte has stumbled to a dismal 1-4 start in February, including a 108-100 overtime setback to the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.

Wallace collected 30 points and 15 rebounds and rising star Emeka Okafor added 23 and 10 in the loss for the Bobcats, who would like to improve on their lowly 8-17 road record.

Houston aims to rebound from its 95-74 thrashing at intrastate rival Dallas on Friday. McGrady scored just 20 points - four shy of his season average - in the defeat.

The Rockets, who are just one game behind Utah for the fourth spot in the Western Conference standings, have won four of their last five home games.

In their first matchup, McGrady scored 23 points to lead Houston to a 92-62 triumph on December 8. It was the lowest point total of the season for Charlotte.
