Nuggets to be without Iverson again

Feb 10, 2007 - 5:40 PM Denver (24-24) at Milwaukee (19-31) 8:30 pm EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Without Allen Iverson, the Denver Nuggets will need Carmelo Anthony to play like an All-Star when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks.

Iverson will miss his second straight game with a sprained right ankle.

Undoubtedly hurt by a 15-game suspension for his role in a brawl earlier this season, Anthony was left off the All-Star squad when the reserves were announced last week. The NBA's leading scorer at 30.8 points per game entering the contest, the superstar forward was named as an injury replacement on Friday afternoon.

Hours later, he played like an All-Star, shooting 11-of-24 from the field and 12-of-13 from the line in a 102-95 victory over Indiana.

The Nuggets will look to keep it going against the Bucks, who are 3-14 since Michael Redd has been sidelined with a knee injury.

Denver has won seven of the last eight meetings between the teams, including three straight here.
