Nuggets look for fourth straight win without Iverson
Feb 14, 2007 - 5:01 PM Denver (26-24) at Minnesota (24-27) 8:00 pm ESTMINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Denver Nuggets again will be without superstar Allen Iverson when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Iverson has missed the last three and seven of the last eight games with a sprained ankle. Despite Iverson's absence, the Nuggets have reeled off three straight wins.
Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith scored 28 points apiece to lead the Nuggets to a 123-111 victory over Golden State on Monday. Marcus Camby, making his return after missing four games with a groin injury and the flu, collected eight points and seven rebounds.
The Timberwolves have lost five of their last seven games. They did narrowly avoid an embarrassing loss against league-worst Boston with a 109-107 win on Sunday.
Minnesota has lost five of its last seven meetings with Denver, including three of the last four at the Target Center.
