Paul looking for better outing this time vs. Bobcats

Feb 20, 2007 - 1:59 PM New Orleans (25-28) at Charlotte (19-33) 7:00 pm EST

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Chris Paul will be looking for some personal revenge when the surging New Orleans Hornets visit the struggling Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday.

Paul's return from an ankle injury can be directly linked to the Hornets winning nine of their 12 games before the All-Star break.

But the point guard was 0-of-8 from the floor and scored just four points in the first meeting between the teams this season - a 94-85 Hornets victory.

Peja Stojakovic, who is out after undergoing back surgery in November, scored a career-high 42 points, the rejuvenated Tyson Chandler hauled in 15 rebounds and Paul still managed 10 assists for the Hornets.

Emeka Okafor had 25 points and 16 rebounds, rookie Adam Morrison tallied 21 points and Sean May added 18 for Charlotte.

New Orleans topped Sacramento, 110-93, last Wednesday as Desmond Mason led six players in double figures with 18 points. Chandler had 10 points and 15 rebounds to extend his franchise record streak to 12 straight games with 12 or more rebounds.

Charlotte snapped a four-game losing streak with last Wednesday's 100-85 triumph over Chicago. Gerald Wallace scored 32 points and Okafor had 15 and 21 rebounds.
