Jazz seek eighth straight win
Feb 20, 2007 - 2:17 PM Utah (35-17) at Portland (22-32) 10:00 pm ESTPORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz have not missed Carlos Boozer all that much.
The Jazz seek to equal their longest winning streak of the season at eight games when they face the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
Boozer leads the Jazz with 22.1 points and 11.8 rebounds per game, but the club is 6-1 since the All-Star forward went down with a hairline fracture of his left leg. In his absence, center Mehmet Okur has stepped up, averaging 25.0 points per game during Utah's winning streak.
The Jazz edged Cleveland, 99-98, last Wednesday behind a career-high 33 points and 12 assists by Deron Williams.
The Trail Blazers lost their last two games heading into the All-Star break and five of seven. Last Wednesday, Zach Randolph collected 28 points and 10 rebounds in a 103-91 loss at Orlando.
Utah won the lone meeting between the clubs this season and has won five straight in the series.
