Jackson, Warriors look to pick up rare win in Los Angeles
Feb 24, 2007 - 3:58 PM Golden State (26-29) at LA Clippers (25-29) 3:30 pm ESTLOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Stephen Jackson and the Golden State Warriors hope they finally can break through in Los Angeles.
After a dramatic home win on Wednesday, Jackson and the Warriors look to snap a long skid against the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center when the teams face off on Saturday.
Golden State posted a 118-115 victory over Memphis on Wednesday. Jackson scored 26 points and set a career high with 12 assists and Monta Ellis and Al Harrington added 22 points apiece.
The Warriors hope they can transfer that play to the Staples Center, which has been a house of horrors for Golden State.
The Warriors have lost 11 straight games on the road against the Lakers and Clippers. The Clippers are one-half game behind the Warriors, who are in ninth place in the Western Conference and one-half game back of New Orleans for the eighth and final playoff spot.
However, Los Angeles has been sliding after dropping its fourth straight game, 115-90, against Phoenix on Tuesday. Corey Maggette had 19 points and seven rebounds and Elton Brand added 17.
