Spurs seek to extend four-game winning streak

Feb 24, 2007 - 4:47 PM Seattle (21-33) at San Antonio (37-18) 8:00 pm EST

SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- Manu Ginobili and the San Antonio Spurs seek their fifth straight win when they host the Seattle SuperSonics on Saturday.

Ginobili scored 24 straight points and finished with 40 in the Spurs' 103-96 victory over Atlanta on Wednesday. Tim Duncan chipped in 30 points and nine rebounds.

The Spurs have won four straight after losing four of five and remain 8 1/2 games behind red-hot Dallas in the Western Conference.

The Supersonics had their three-game winning streak snapped when star guard Ray Allen's 3-pointer rimmed out as time expired in a 98-97 loss to New Orleans. Allen scored 32 points and Rashard Lewis contributed 18 and 12 rebounds for Seattle, which shot 52 percent (38-of-73) from the floor and made 9-of-17 3-pointers.

Seattle's six road victories are tied for the lowest total in the NBA.
