Marion, Suns seek revenge against Hawks

Feb 25, 2007 - 4:50 PM Phoenix (42-13) at Atlanta (22-33) 2:00 pm EST

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The theme of the Phoenix Suns' four-game road trip appears to be one of revenge.

The Suns attempt to win their fourth consecutive contest and avoid their first regular-season sweep by the Atlanta Hawks since 1991-1992 when the teams meet Sunday.

The Suns opened the trip with Friday's 116-104 triumph over the Minnesota Timberwolves, who snapped Phoenix's franchise-record 17-game winning streak January 29.

Shawn Marion scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, Leandro Barbosa added 24 points and Amare Stoudemire chipped in 23 with 11 boards for the Suns.

On Sunday, Phoenix turns its attention to Atlanta, which posted a 120-111 victory over the Suns on February 9 while reigning two-time MVP Steve Nash was sidelined with a shoulder injury.

After dropping three of four contests, Atlanta bounced back with Friday's 105-99 triumph over the Houston Rockets.

Joe Johnson scored 31 points in his second consecutive 30-point outing.
