Howard, Magic hope to end three-game slide

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Things are starting to look gloomy in the Sunshine State for the Orlando Magic.

The slumping Magic look to end their three-game losing streak when they host Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets on Sunday.

Orlando lost for the fourth time in five games and fell to 3-7 in February after dropping a 94-89 decision to the Detroit Pistons on Friday.

The Magic have dropped to seventh place in the Eastern Conference standing, just one percentage point ahead of the Miami Heat.

All-Star Dwight Howard continues to be the cornerstone of the Magic's offense, finishing with at least 20 points and 12 rebounds in his last five games.

Houston hopes to bounce back from its 105-99 letdown to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday despite a 37-point performance from McGrady.

The Rockets would like to improve their 15-3 record against Eastern Conference opponents and have won their last four trips to Orlando.
