Mavericks put winning streaks on line vs. Hawks

DALLAS (Ticker) -- The Dallas Mavericks seek their 20th straight home win on Monday when they face the Atlanta Hawks.

Riding an 11-game overall winning streak, Dallas can post its third streak of at least 12 straight wins this season. The Mavs are 26-3 at American Airlines Center.

The Hawks concluded a three-game homestand with a 115-106 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night. All-Star Joe Johnson scored 25 points for Atlanta, giving him 86 points in his last three games.

Point guard Anthony Johnson returns to face his former team. Acquired by the Hawks at the trade deadline, Johnson had 17 points and five assists Sunday in his first game with Atlanta.

Superstar forward Dirk Nowitzki just missed a triple-double with 31 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in the Mavericks' 115-95 romp over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night.
