Bobcats' Okafor questionable with calf injury

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Elton Brand and the Los Angeles Clippers may not have to contend with Emeka Okafor when they host the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday night.

Coming off a 31-point, 12-rebound effort that also included a career high-tying eight blocks in Saturday's 103-90 win over Golden State, Brand may have another huge game against Charlotte.

Okafor, the Bobcats' leading rebounder at 11.7 per game and top shot blocker with an average of 2.8, had to leave last Saturday's 93-76 loss to the Toronto Raptors with a strained calf. He is listed as questionable.

With Okafor sidelined, Toronto's Chris Bosh scored all 24 of his points in the second half as the Raptors snapped Charlotte's four-game winning streak.

Starting a six-game road trip, the Bobcats also may be without leading scorer Gerald Wallace (16.1 ppg), who strained a groin in Saturday night's contest.

The Clippers are just one-half game behind New Orleans and Denver for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
