Suns hope to continue unbeaten road run against East teams

Feb 27, 2007 - 3:06 PM Phoenix (43-13) at Indiana (29-26) 7:00 pm EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Suns seek to remain perfect on the road against Eastern Conference teams.

Unbeaten in 13 games on the road against East teams, the Suns will visit the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday.

If Phoenix defeats the Pacers and Philadelphia on Wednesday, it will complete an unprecedented road sweep of clubs from the opposing conference. The Suns are 22-3 overall vs. the East this season.

Phoenix posted a 115-106 victory at Atlanta on Sunday. All-Star Amare Stoudemire scored a season-high 43 points and pulled down 16 rebounds.

Shawn Marion scored 21 points and Steve Nash chipped in 14 and 13 assists for the Suns, who have won four straight games since the return of Nash, a two-time MVP.

After putting on a show at the All-Star Game, Stoudemire has continued his stellar play after the break, averaging 30.0 points and 12.0 rebounds during Phoenix's winning streak.

Indiana has been blown out in its last two contests, including a 110-93 loss to Sacramento on Sunday. Jermaine O'Neal struggled with a left knee injury throughout the game but still managed to score 19 points, grab nine rebounds and block six shots. Mike Dunleavy added 18 and nine boards for the Pacers.

The Suns snapped a six-game road losing streak against the Pacers with a 114-104 victory here last March 30.
