Nuggets' supporting cast looks for second straight win

Feb 28, 2007 - 3:41 PM Orlando (28-30) at Denver (27-28) 9:00 pm EST

DENVER (Ticker) -- Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson finally got some help.

After picking up just their third win with the superstar duo playing together, the Denver Nuggets look to keep it going against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.

Anthony and Iverson have put up numbers since being paired together after the Nuggets acquired the four-time scoring champion from Philadelphia earlier this season. However, Denver's supporting cast has been silent until Nene stepped up on Monday.

The trio combined for 85 points as the Nuggets snapped a four-game skid with a 111-107 victory over Memphis.

Anthony scored 33 points, Nene tied a career high with 27 and Iverson added 25 as Denver moved into seventh place in the Western Conference standings, one-half game ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Nuggets will look to keep it going against the Magic, who stopped a four-game losing streak with a 94-87 victory over Chicago on Monday. All-Star Dwight Howard collected 21 points and 16 rebounds.

Jameer Nelson scored 18 points and Grant Hill added 15 for Orlando, which also snapped a six-game slide on the road.

The Magic have won 20 of their last 24 meetings against the Nuggets. However, Denver's four wins have come at home.
