Jazz begin three-game road trip against Grizzlies

Feb 28, 2007 - 3:51 PM Utah (37-19) at Memphis (15-43) 8:00 pm EST

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Utah Jazz begin a three-game road trip with a meeting against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.

Despite the return of All-Star Mehmet Okur and Andrei Kirilenko, the Jazz lost to the Los Angeles Lakers, 102-94, on Monday.

However, Utah remains without point guard Deron Williams, who has missed the last two games with a strained groin.

The Grizzlies lost for the fourth time in five games, falling to Denver, 111-107, on Monday. Mike Miller and Pau Gasol scored 21 points apiece in the loss.

The lone bright spot for Memphis has been the improved play of rookie Rudy Gay, who is averaging 17.6 points in his last nine contests.

Despite their dismal season, the Grizzlies have had their way with the Jazz, winning seven of the last nine matchups.
