Wizards seek to snap four-game losing streak
Mar 2, 2007 - 4:02 PM Atlanta (22-36) at Washington (31-25) 7:00 pm ESTWASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards seek to snap a four-game losing streak when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
Short Caron Butler and Antwan Jamison, opposing defenses have been keying on Arenas, who managed just 15 points on 3-of-18 shooting in a 92-83 loss to the Miami Heat on Wednesday.
Shaquille O'Neal scored 23 points and Udonis Haslem pulled down 15 rebounds for the Heat.
The Atlanta Hawks have lost three in a row. The battle with the Wizards will end a string of five games against Western Conference opponents in which the Hawks managed just one victory.
Joe Johnson led Atlanta with 28 points in a 107-100 loss to the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday.
The Wizards beat the Hawks, 96-95 in their first meeting on November 28. Arenas scored 21 points and added seven assists.
